£10,000 Donated To Basildon Hospital Breast Unit, through Mid and South Essex Hospitals Charity
Beat Breast Cancer has donated £10,000 to the Breast Unit at Basildon Hospital to support breast cancer care and help improve early diagnosis. This donation includes a generous £5,000 contribution from the AKO Foundation, matched with an additional £5,000 from Beat Breast Cancer.

Beat Breast Cancer is proud to have donated £10,000 to the Breast Unit at Basildon Hospital, through Mid and South Essex Hospitals Charity.
This donation was made possible following a generous £5,000 contribution from the AKO Foundation, after Beat Breast Cancer was nominated through its Give Back programme. Inspired by the importance of improving breast cancer diagnosis and supporting services that make a direct difference to patients, Beat Breast Cancer chose to match this donation with an additional £5,000, bringing the total contribution to £10,000.
The funds have been donated specifically to support the Breast Unit at Basildon Hospital, with a focus on helping improve early diagnosis and breast cancer care. Early diagnosis can play a vital role in improving outcomes, and we are committed to supporting hospitals and clinical teams working on the frontline of breast cancer detection, treatment and patient support.
We are working closely with the team at Mid and South Essex Hospitals Charity and Basildon Hospital Breast Unit to ensure the donation is directed towards an area of meaningful need. We look forward to receiving updates on how the funds are used and the impact they help create for patients.
We would like to sincerely thank the AKO Foundation for their generous support and for helping make this donation possible. As a small charity, contributions like this allow us to continue supporting hospitals across the UK and help fund services that make a real difference to people affected by breast cancer.
